Some camera shots!

I just wanted to start by saying that I had no subjects or help other than myself for these shots, so I tried to just use my figures, collectibles, and shoes. I mean, come on, I have a whole collection here. I took maybe 25 videos. It was like playing with dolls all over again, honestly, and I love how that nostalgic vibe translated to these shots!

With this extreme closeup of my shoes, I tried to represent my emotion by closing up to the slight movement. It was mostly to make me look more anxious and, at the same time, close up to a potentially important detail (my shoes).

This shot is just a close/mid shot at eye level, focusing on the character’s expressions (and body language if they had it!) It would have been a two-shot, but I don’t have enough space, unfortunately.

This is a long establishing shot, especially one I would start with if the school was my setting for a short film to establish that fact early on! I wish I had better scenery for this one, but I digress.

This is a high-angle mid-shot, from the pov of the other subject, to represent their bewilderment. I thought it added humor that the character focused on in the video was looking down on the subject with that expression, honestly.

Finally, there was a small attempt at an overhead master shot, but it ended up just being a moving/follow-up close-up. This would be a good transition before establishing a setting, in my opinion, so it would be great leading up to my third shot!
